EV Prize

Thank you 2014 EV Prize Teams for a Fantastic Competition

Congratulations to all the winners of the various awards and prizes. The weather tried to scare us off with a heavy downpour of rain in the morning but the power of positive wishes from over 200 students, dozens of team managers and thousands of spectators, (not to mention the EV Fest organising team :-) brought the sun out and dried the track just in time for racing.

Over 70 teams participated in the various divisions of the 2014 EV Prize. The largest was 21 teams in the Schools Cup Hub Class, followed by 20 vehicles in the demonstration division, 18 teams in the Schools Cup Chain Class, 6 teams in the Open Single Seat Division, 4 teams in the 1500 Class, and 2 teams in the Open Dual Seat Division.

The Celebrity Drag Race was an entertaining spectacle with Sonia Hornery MP taking out line honours and the Teachers Drag Race at the end of the day provided some much needed relief for the dedicated hard working team managers.

Feedback from the event has indicated all teams are hoping to return to the track for the 2015 EV Prize - more announcements coming soon!
