hunter valley electric vehicle festival 2019 is on!

Feedback needed...

This year saw over 250 students compete in over 60 teams at the Hunter Valley Electric Vehicle Festival (EV Fest) for the EV Prize and Mini EV Prize Competitions at Cameron Park.  The list of winners is attached below.  Photos from the day can be found here.

EV Fest is STEM engagement in a fun way to provide hands on activities and aspirational building of STEM.  STEM is a project based learning activity including Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in an interdisciplinary and applied approach.

We are after feedback on the EV Fest from Students and Teachers on how effective the EV Fest is in delivering STEM, how students enjoyed their STEM experience, and how teachers have used it as a curriculum activity in school.

Please take a few minutes to provide us with valuable feedback.  Click on the appropriate button below to complete the survey.

2018 has seen a comprehensive program for the Hunter Valley Electric Vehicle Festival (EV Fest).  The EV Show returned this year with the HVEVF partnering with AiGroup to hold the EV Show as part of the Greater Hunter Makers and Technology Festival at Newcastle Racecourse on 21-22nd September.  The popular EV prize competition and Mini EV Prize competition was held at Cameron Park Kart Raceway on 31st October.

Newcastle Innovation Showcase

Picture
Newcastle Council, in parallel with the V8 Supercars event on 23-25 November are running Entertain Newcastle. One of the major events of Entertain Newcastle, the Newcastle Innovation Showcase will feature an EV display and EV test rides run by Australian Electric Vehicle Association and supported by Tesla Owners Club Australia members in Hunter Street Mall.

We are expecting around 20,000 people to come through the Showcase across the three days so it's a great opportunity to engage with the public and introduce them to electric vehicles. We have a number of Tesla owners and their vehicles coming to the event but with the huge crowds we are looking for more EV owners to join the showcase.

We are looking for help from AEVA members and the broader EV community across this 3 day event.
